Oakland Falls to BGSU

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. – The Oakland Men's Soccer team wrapped up their four-game road trip Friday evening against the Bowling Green State University Falcons in what was a 6-0 loss for the Golden Grizzlies.

Oakland's first shot of the match would come in the 33' from freshman forward Kevin Hubbell. The Honor, Michigan native's shot was blocked by a Bowling Green defender just a few feet inside the Falcon's box.

Seven different Golden Grizzlies attempted a shot during the contest, including two from Gabriel Baylon. The offensive attack was not the only facet of the game spread evenly for OU tonight as 23 Golden Grizzlies saw the pitch during the contest.

The reigning Horizon League Champions placed four shots on the Bowling Green net, one each from Baylon, Ville Ahola, Dylan Wismont, and Diego Perez.

Two keepers tended the net in the match for the black and gold. Redshirt freshman standout, Michael Sly Jr. tallied 74 minutes and five saves, while fellow freshman goalie, Aiden Smith saw his first minutes as a Golden Grizzly.
