Oakland Settles with a Tie to Youngstown State

ROCHESTER, Mich - Oakland Women's Soccer team ended the night with a tie to Youngstown State this evening on the OU Soccer Field in Rochester, Michigan for the Horizon League opener.

It didn't take long for the Golden Grizzlies to get on the board tonight as Alexa Sabbagh scored at the 29:49 point with assists from Sami Lopez and Carmela Barro. This added another goal for Sabbagh to keep her at the top of the leaderboard for her three goals this season. The Golden Grizzlies continued to storm Youngstown State with nine total shots during the first half and five during the second. 

The Golden Grizzlies defended the net in unity tonight as they had two team saves during the second half of the game. Goalkeeper Noëmi Stadelmann started in the net for Oakland and made a total of two saves and seven shots faced, and only allowed one goal to Youngstown States' Taylor Berry at the 81:42 point in the last ten minutes of the game.
