ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University's Volleyball team took to the court Saturday afternoon in an exhibition match wiched pinned the Golden Grizzlies and Panthers of Davenport, leading to a 3-1 win in favor of OU.

Oakland cruised out to a 25-11 first set win before the Panthers pounced right back in set two to knot things up at 1-1. OU would rebound after its set two loss to sweep the next for the 3-1 win. 

The Golden Grizzlies would use its sizable front line to dominate at the net throughout the match with a total of 13 blocks recorded to Davenport's three. Patti Cesarini, Clarke Adams, and Libby Gentile would lead Oakland in points with Madison Ross spearheading the charge in assists.

Emily Wichmann put in work on defense with 15 digs followed by Cesarini with 10 as Jessica Reidl and Gentile accounted for five blocks.

Oakland will begin the 2022 regular season campaign on Friday, August 26 in Indianapolis, Indiana for the Top Dawg Challenge starting with Butler at 6:00 p.m. on day one.
