BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Oakland Men's Track & Field's Alex Hugh-Plott wrapped up the Golden Grizzlies' outdoor track and field season in school record-tying fashion Friday at the 2022 NCAA Division I East Preliminaries. 

In the Men's High Jump, Hugh-Plott finished 17th overall out of 43 jumpers in the event ahead of many other power program competitors. Hugh-Plott's height of 2.10m (6'10.75") ties his own school record.

The top 12 competitors in the event advanced to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene.
