ELAINE LEIGH INVITATIONAL ON THE HOME OVAL THIS WEEKEND

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University Track & Field prepares for the Elaine Leigh Invitational April 22-23 as the Golden Grizzlies prepare the Elaine Leigh Track & FIeld Complex in Rochester for its second home meet of the season.

Connor Goetz and Rachel Kempf are reigning Nike #HLTF Horizon League Athletes of the Week after their performances in the Men's 5,000m and Women's 10,000m at the Bison Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania last weekend posting the first and second-best Horizon League in those events, respectively.

The Golden Grizzlies currently own 12 top two times across all events with just a short time left until the Horizon League Championships as Oakland gears up for its second home meet of the year. Goetz and Kempf's times put them 47th and 64th, respectively, in the NCAA Division I East Region.

At the previous Golden Grizzlies invitational, Alex-Hugh Plott continued to pile onto his Men's High Jump mark with a new height of 2.10m (6'10.75") with the goal of 7' in the near future. Hugh-Plott sits 26th in the NCAA Division I East Region with that mark.
