INDIANAPOLIS -- The 2022 Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships continued Thursday evening at the IU Natatorium (NAT) with Oakland continuing its success from day one. The Golden Grizzlies currently lead the standings in the women's competition with 311 points and the men's competition with 275 points.

On the men's side of the 500-yard freestyle, Oakland had a clean sweep of the podium on the men's side with freshman
Jonas Cantrell taking first and finishing with an NCAA B cut time of 4:21.99. Following Cantrell for Oakland was
Ben Davis (4:25.09) and
Marko Khotynetskyi (4:25.99).

Following the 500-yard freestyle was the 200-yard individual medley where Oakland women swept the podium.
Susan LaGrand finished in first with an NCAA B cut time of 1:58.20. Following LaGrand was
Jordyn Shipps (2:00.59) and
Madelyn Cislo (2:03.32) who took home second and third respectively.
Danylo Hrebelnyi finished third touching the wall in 1:47.28.

In the final individual swimming event of the evening, the 50 free,
Christian Bart placed second, finishing in 19.85, just a tenth of a second behind the first place finisher. Bart finished with a NCAA B cut time.

The women were the first to touch the wall in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:32.47.
