Oakland set to host Robert Morris in #HLMSOC Tournament Quarterfinal

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Earning the No. 4 seed by punctuating their regular season with a 4-1 victory over the Northern Kentucky Norse, the Golden Grizzlies will square off with the No. 5 Robert Morris Colonials in a Horizon League Tournament Quarterfinal on Sunday, November 6 at 1 p.m. at the Oakland Soccer Field.

Wrapping up their regular season at 4-9-4 (4-2-3 Horizon League), the Golden Grizzlies and Robert Morris (6-7-2, 4-3-2) have battled once this year, ending in a 2-1 Oakland victory in Rochester on September 28.

HORIZON LEAGUE TOURNAMENT RUNDOWN
The No. 3 IUPUI Jaguars will host the No. 6 Detroit Mercy Titans in the other quarterfinal, also set for 1 p.m. Sunday, with the No. 1 Cleveland State Vikings and No. 2 Wright State Raiders awaiting the winners in the Thursday, November 10 semifinals.

Cleveland State, which will host the semifinals and finals, will battle the lower victorious seed, while the Raiders will face the higher winning seed.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST THE COLONIALS
These two programs do not possess a lengthy history, as they have played only four times with the first meeting coming on August 30, 2019.

Oakland has won all four prior matches.

SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS
The lone Colonial in double-figures, junior Chase Gilley has led Robert Morris' offensive attack with 14 points (6 goals, 2 assists).

Fellow junior Hugo Kadima and freshmen Victor Koah and Shane McMillan have also played key roles, all chipping in at least five points.

Announced on Friday, Koah earned Horizon League All-Freshman Team honors for the Colonials, while sophomore midfielder Bryan Akongo and junior defender Kelvin Ramirez captured Second Team spots.

German sophomore Friedrich Petrelli has started all 15 of Robert Morris' matches in goal, posting a .653 save percentage, 1.16 goals against average and 32 saves.
