Oakland Secures Fourth Consecutive #HLWSOC Win

ROCHESTER, Mich - The Oakland Women's Soccer team defeated Wright State 3-1. Securing now four wins in a row, the Golden Grizzlies continue their incredible record-making winning streak for the best year in the NCAA Divison I history of the program. 

Oakland started off with an energetic 11 shot attempts across the team and defended the Raiders to maintain a scoreless first half. Rolling into the second half, the Golden Grizzlies then took that energy with them throughout the entirety of the game that would ultimately put them on top as they string together another win in the season record book. 

Sophie Wilsey fired a shot in the net for the first goal of the afternoon with an assist from Karabo Dhlamini. Following this goal, at only seven minutes after Wilsey, Alexa Sabbagh made the second goal of the game, as did Dhlamini made her second assist of the afternoon, along with help from Jayna Fraser. However, the Golden Grizzlies weren't finished yet, and they continued to attack the net as we saw yet another remarkable shot by Jules Karkaba as she scored her very first goal of the season for Oakland, with an assist by both Izzy Karkaba and Sydney Grodsinsky. The energy in this game was unmatched from the teamwork to the energetic momentum carried throughout the entirety of the first and second half, Oakland continues to prove that they are a team with consistency and determination. 

Additionally, goalkeeper Noëmi Stadelmann recorded a valuable save during the course of the game as she defended the Golden Grizzlies and was crucial to their win tonight in Ohio.
