Dylan Borczak scored his second goal of the season and added an assist,
Kieran Hayes recorded his first career goal while
Mikey Ketteman and
Charlie Braithwaite each added a tally each as Oakland rolled past Robert Morris 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
Mohammad Jamal Issa added his second assist on the season while
Finn Jurak picked up the shutout in his first start of the season. The Golden Grizzlies have now outscored the Colonials 14-1 over the last three matches.
Ketteman wasted little time getting Oakland on the board with a goal just six minutes into the game off an assist from Borczak.
With seconds remaining in the first half, Hayes connected on a corner kick feed with a header into the back of the net. However, the referee determined that the goal was scored after time expired keeping the score at 1-0.
It was all Oakland in the second half as the Golden Grizzlies' offense exploded with three goals. In the 63rd minute, Robert Morris was called for a handball inside the box. Borczak was able to convert the ensuing penalty kick notching his second goal of the season.
Braithwaite then added his second goal of the year giving Oakland a commanding 3-0 lead in the 63rd minute. In the 74th minute, Hayes was not going to be denied a second time as he capped off the scoring by connecting on a header off a beautiful feed from Jamal Issa to seal the game.
Oakland travels to Detroit Mercy for the annual Metro Series showdown on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m.
