CHICAGO -
Noah Jensen scored his first goal of the season off Adam McAleenan's first assist on the year but it was not enough as Oakland saw its two-game win streak snapped with a 3-1 setback at DePaul on Saturday at Wish Field.

A majority of the first half remained scoreless until DePaul (4-2) got on the board to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.

During the second half, the post and crossbar proved to be the difference for Oakland (2-3-1). McAleenan struck a shot that beat DePaul goalkeeper Gandhi Cruz but rang off the crossbar. The Golden Grizzlies would not be denied on their second scoring opportunity as Jensen got the equalizer off a feed from McAleenan to tie the game at 1-1 in the 50th minute.

In the 65th minute, Dylan Borczak looked to give Oakland the lead but his shot hit the post. Just three minutes later in the 68th minute, Jensen hit a solid free-kick that got past Cruz but also hit the post keeping the game tied at 1-1.

The Blue Demons then took advantage with a goal in the 85th minute and added an insurance goal just two minutes later to seal the win.

Oakland resumes Horizon League play at home against UIC on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 1 p.m.
