
RICHMOND, Va. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected the Oakland University men's and women's swimming and diving teams for Scholar All-America honors for their efforts in the classroom last semester.
"Coach Hovland continues to set the standard for success both in the pool and the classroom," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Oakland and Athletic Director Waterfield, President Hirsch Pescovitz, and Dr. Christine Stiller (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 60 men & women."
The Golden Grizzlies are coming off their 43rd straight conference title on the men's side, while the women captured their 27th consecutive league championship in April.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
