ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland Esports Head Coach
Carl Leone has announced the addition of Cameron Mason and Julian Serratos to the Golden Grizzlies' League of Legends team as part of the 2021 recruiting class. The duo marks the second class for Leone since arriving at Oakland.
"I am very excited to add Julian and Cameron to our already impressive League of Legends roster," Leone said. "Both players showed exceptional promise during tryouts. Both players have a peak rank of Grandmaster which is 99th percentile in North America, including professional players. Our League of Legends team set the bar high for competitive success in our inaugural year. Adding Julian and Cameron will help us to exceed those expectations next season!"
In addition to League of Legends, the Golden Grizzlies also compete in Rocket League and Super Smash Brothers. In March Oakland Esports announced the addition of Overwatch with competition beginning in the fall.
