 Connor Goetz, Colin Kane, Samantha Hanson, and Rachel Kempf have all earned spots on the Horizon League All-Academic Team the conference announced Thursday.

Goetz, a junior majoring in computer engineering, finished his year with an impressive 4.0 cumulative grade point average. While Covid-19 prevented most of the fall season from taking place, Goetz finished in eighth place at the Horizon League Cross Country Championship with a time of 25:51.7. Goetz was also part of the 2019 All-Academic team. 

Kane, a sophomore majoring in exercise science, completed the semester with a 3.89 cumulative grade point average. At the Horizon League Cross Country Championship, Kane finished 10th with a time of 26:12.6.

Kempf, a junior majoring in accounting, finished the semester with a 3.90 cumulative grade point average. The junior finished in third place with a time of 22:04.02 at the Horizon League Cross Country Championship. Rachel Kempf was also named an All-Academic Individual in NCAA Division I in April. 

Hanson, a graduate student majoring in business administration, finished the semester with a 3.90 cumulative grade point average. At the Horizon League Championship, Hanson finished 23rd with a time of 23:39.0. 

To be eligible for the Horizon League All-Academic team, student-athletes must: participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests to be eligible for postseason awards. Student-athletes must have completed one year at the member school and passed 24 semester credit hours at that institution. Eligible candidates must have completed one academic year before the start of their athletic season and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.00 scale.
