ROCHESTER, Mich -- The Golden Grizzlies will host the annual Golden Grizzlies Invite Apr. 10 on the Oakland Track and Field for the first home meet since Apr. 2019 due to COVID-19. 

At the Adidas Winthrop Invitational, the Golden Grizzlies saw an incredible performance by Connor Goetz who took a personal-best and first-place finish in the 5k in the time of 14:34. Goetz continued his success into day two, taking first place in his college debut of the men's 1500 with a time of 3:59.

Maddi Leigh placed fourth in the 1500 (4:44.64) followed by Megan Nichols in sixth (4:47.34), Maryam Sheena in seventh (4:48.62), and Ashley Quinn in 10th (4:54.05). 

Due to MDHHS guidelines and the amount of participating teams involved in each home meet, spectators will not be allowed inside the fenced perimeter of the track stadium at this time. The field events will begin at noon with competition taking place until the final event at 6:45 p.m. Fans can see results on fatresults.com.
