ROCHESTER, Mich. - Emma Hultqvist dropped a hard-fought match to Anika Tylek 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 at the No. 5 singles as Oakland fell 7-0 to visiting Milwaukee on Saturday.
Hultqvust and Joëlle Tabernal also were leading 5-4 at the No. 2 doubles position but their match was left unfinished as Milwaukee took the doubles point to move ahead 1-0.
The Panthers went on to claim all the singles matches in straight sets en route to the win.
Due to a shortened roster consisting of only five student-athletes this season, Oakland has to start each competition with a forfeit at the No. 3 doubles position and an additional forfeit at the No. 6 singles position.
Both teams conclude the weekend series with a dual match on Sunday, April 18 at 1 p.m.
