ROCHESTER, Mich. -
Yasmin Glazbrook won a match at the No. 1 singles position against Eastern Michigan grinding out a 2-6, 7-5, 10-6 three-set win over Isabelle Popma and also teamed with
Nirva Patel for a 7-6 (7-3) win over Popma and Julia Piatek at the No. 1 doubles spot. However, it was not enough as the Golden Grizzlies fell, 6-1, to the Eagles on Saturday at the Bloomfield Tennis and Fitness Center.
Joëlle Tabernal took the first set against Grace Whitney at the No. 5 spot but could not hold on losing in three sets via two tie-breakers, 6-3, 6-7, 7-10.
Due to a shortened roster this season, Oakland has to start each competition with a forfeit at the No. 3 doubles position and an additional forfeit at the No. 6 singles position.
Oakland travels to Toledo on Wednesday, Mar. 10 at 12:30 p.m.
