BLOOMFIELD, Mich. - Yasmin Glazbrook and
Mia Melnizki lost close first sets at 6-4 before falling in their matches at the No. 1 and No. 3 singles position respectively as Oakland dropped its second conference match of the season to Horizon League leader Youngstown State, 7-0, on Sunday at the Bloomfield Tennis and Fitness.
In doubles play, Glazbrook and Nirva Patel were leading Tamara Teufl and Eliska Masarikova, 4-3, at No. 1 doubles but their match was left unfinished as YSU won at No. 2 to take the doubles point.
The Penguins went on the sweep all of the singles matches in straight sets for the win.
Due to a shortened roster this season, Oakland has to start each competition with a forfeit at the No. 3 doubles position and an additional forfeit at the No. 6 singles position.
Oakland travels to Cleveland State for a pair of dual matches on Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 3-4 at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m.
