
ROCHESTER, Mich. — The Oakland University women's swimming and diving team dominated the University of Toledo 186.5 to 113.5 on Friday, Oct. 22, at their home pool.
Oakland took first place in 13 events, led by Susan LaGrand, an All-American a season ago. LaGrand won the 100-yard backstroke (55.2), the 100-yard IM (57.44), and the 200-yard medley relay (1:43.39) while also taking second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.01).Â
Emily Aycock won the 1000-yard freestyle (10:24.35) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.01), while Jewel Huang won the 50-yard backstroke (26.80). Elleana Chalifoux won the 1-meter dive (269.32) and 3-meter dive (270.98).Â
Sophia Davis won the 50-yard butterfly (25.56), while Jordyn Shipps won the 100-yard freestyle (51.49).Â
The Golden Grizzlies will return to the pool to take on Xavier on Saturday, Oct. 23, inside the Oakland Aquatic Center.
