Oakland kept its lead intact in the second half before going on a 15-0 run, finished off by Williams' layup, to grow the lead to 65-49 with 8:54 to go in the contest. The Golden Grizzlies got hot from deep in the run, as nine of their 15 points came from outside the arc. Oakland kept expanding the margin and coasted the rest of the way for the 82-65 win.
The Golden Grizzly offense improved their shooting in the second half, going 17-of-31 (54-percent) from the floor. Oakland shot especially well from three-point range in the half, hitting seven shots from deep to score 21 of its 44 points.
