ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Oakland University Esports has announced its signees for Super Smash Bros., Head Coach,
Carl Leone announced the inaugural roster on Monday.
Kedan Butler,
Austin Kujawa,
Devin Lucas are all members of the 2020 recruiting class.
"I am very excited to bring these players on to the inaugural Smash roster," Leone said. "Each of the players is incredibly talented and has their own unique style. I expect our team to have a tremendous impact at Smash events in the midwest this year."
Leone hosted tryouts for the inaugural Esports teams in June, which was comprised of more than 50 players ranking in the top 12 percent of North America.
The Golden Grizzlies announced the Rocket League roster last week, with League of Legends to follow next week.
The 2020-21 Esports campaign will mark the first season of Division I competition for Oakland, which features a unique partnership with Team Renegades, a professional Esports team based at GameTime in Auburn Hills.
