LEXINGTON, KY. -
Michael Stygles went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles in game one while Cam Post hit a combined 5-for-7 with a double and two runs scored with Mario Camilletti adding a double, RBI, three runs and three walks as Oakland fell at Kentucky, 11-6, 13-2, in doubleheader action on Sunday at Kentucky Proud Park.

Blake Griffith also recorded a hit and RBI in each game while Jordan Jackson and Tyler Trovinger each recorded a hit with a combined three runs scored.

Griffith got Oakland on the board with a two-out RBI single to score Camilletti in the top of the first inning to open game one. Kentucky responded with an RBI double and a two-run home run to take a 3-1 lead.

After the Wildcats added another three runs to move ahead 6-3 in the second, Griffith grounded into a double play to score Post in the third inning followed by an RBI single by Stygles to cut UK's lead in half at 6-3.

In the top of the fifth, Stygles once again delivered with a clutch two-run double scoring Camilletti and Trovinger to pull Oakland within a run at 6-5. However, Kentucky came right back in the bottom of the frame with a back-breaking grand slam home run followed by a solo homer to break the game open at 11-5.

Oakland had a great opportunity to get back into the game loading the bases in the top of the eighth inning. Camilletti hit a sacrifice fly to left field scoring Jackson. Griffith battled at the plate working the count full before striking out leaving the bases juiced.

Ian Cleary gave Oakland its second run of the game off a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning.
