ROCHESTER, Michigan - Senior forward Xavier Hill-Mais was named the Nike #HLMBB Co-Player of the Week on Monday, February 17, announced the league office. Hill-Mais averaged 21 points per game last week. 

Hill-Mais recorded a pair of 20-plus point efforts as the Golden Grizzlies knocked off Cleveland State and Youngstown State at the O'Rena for Oakland's first consecutive wins since November 9-10. Hill-Mais has scored 20 or more points in three-straight games and five of the last eight.

Against Youngstown State, the Greensboro, North Carolina, native dished out a season-high five helpers and hauled in 11 boards to go with 20 points for his seventh double-double of the season. 

On Thursday night versus Cleveland State, Hill-Mais went for 22 points and eight boards - five coming on the offensive end.

This is the Golden Grizzlies fifth weekly plaudit from the Horizon League this season - sophomore forward Daniel Oladapo earned Player of the Week honors on November 11, sophomore guard Rashad Williams earned Player of the Week honors on February 3, while freshman guard Blake Lampman has earned Freshman of the Week twice.

Hill-Mais is splitting this week's award with Wright State's Loudan Love. 

Hill-Mais was named Player of the Week by the league last season twice - November 12 and February 25.

Oakland closes out its home regular season this weekend against Milwaukee and Green Bay. Sunday's matchup with the Phoenix will be senior day, celebrating the careers of Hill-Mais and senior center Brad Brechting.
