OAKLAND MEN'S BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

ROCHESTER, Mich.
 -- The Oakland University men's basketball team revealed its 2020 non-conference schedule announced by head coach Greg Kampe on Friday.

Oakland will take on a condensed seven-game non-conference schedule, all of which will be road games. The Golden Grizzlies open with the first nationally televised game of the 2020 college basketball season at Xavier on Nov. 25. As part of the Xavier Invitational, the Golden Grizzlies will also take on Toledo (11/26) and Bradley (11/27). 

The Golden Grizzlies will face four-straight Power-5 schools in Michigan (11/29), Purdue (12/1), Oklahoma State (12/5) and Michigan State (12/13) to round out non-conference play.
 
Oakland and Michigan will meet for the first time since 2011, and the first time the Golden Grizzlies have traveled to Ann Arbor since 2010. 
 
The Golden Grizzlies will look for their first win against the Boilermakers, as they meet for just the third time in program history and the first time since 2010.
 
Oakland's game against Oklahoma State will mark the first time the two teams have met. 
 
Oakland's match-up with Michigan State will mark the 19th time in program history the two squads have met on the hardwood, making it the ninth-straight year. 
 
The Golden Grizzlies open Horizon League play on the road against UIC Dec. 19 and 20.
