OAKLAND RALLIES FROM TWO GOAL DEFICIT TO FORCE DRAW AT BRADLEY

9-8-19 at Bradley Infographic: Oakland 2, Bradley 2

PEORIA, Ill. -
Cameron Wilde and Luke Morrell each scored second half goals to rally the Oakland men's soccer team from a two goal deficit to force a 2-2 draw at Bradley on Sunday. Frank Jones, Spencer Nolff and Dylan Borczak each recorded an assist.

After a scoreless second half, Bradley (1-0-2) got on the board first as Walid Kherat kicked the ball from just outside the midfield circle high into the air towards the goal. The ball took a high bounce and went over the outstretched arms of Sullivan Lauderdale into the back of the net.

Bradley added another goal as Lauderdale's clear attempt deflected off a pressing forward and ended up on the leg of Gerit Wintermeyer who put the ball away giving the Braves a 2-0 advantage.

Oakland (2-1-1) responded in the 59th minute as Nolff threw the ball in to Jones who flicked it across the box over to Morrell who buried the cross past the Bradley keeper.

The Golden Grizzlies tied the game in the 68th minute as Borczak took a turnover and broke down the middle of the field on the counter. He then passed the ball to an open Wilde on the right side who put away the equalizer for his team-leading third goal of the season.

Oakland hosts Cleveland State for the Horizon League and home opener on Sat. Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
