Noah Jensen and
Cameron Wilde each recorded a goal while
Elliott Bentley and
Carson Debison-Larabie both added an assist to lead the Oakland men's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Western Illinois on Friday.
Sullivan Lauderdale picked up his second win of the season in goal making three saves.
Sawula got the Golden Grizzlies (2-1) on the board putting a rebounded shot from Jensen into the back of the net just five minutes into the game.
After Western Illinois (0-3) tied the game, Jensen would not be denied as he connected off a free kick that was placed over the defensive wall and past the WIU keeper in the 37th minute for the eventual game-winner.
Just one minute into the second half, Wilde notched his second goal of the season off assists from Bentley and Debison-Larabie.
Oakland travels to Bradley for a match on Sun., Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. ET
