INDIANAPOLIS - The Horizon League has named Sami Lopez the Nike® Horizon League Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the week after an impressive two-goal performance in the home opener against Eastern Kentucky.

Lopez helped guide the Golden Grizzlies to a 2-1 win in overtime over EKU on Thursday. Lopez scored both goals for Oakland, marking her first as a Golden Grizzly.

Oakland returns to the field Thursday at Toledo before welcoming Notre Dame to the Oakland Soccer Field on Sunday at 4 p.m.
