ROCHESTER, Mich. – The women of Oakland cross country will travel to Chicago to compete in the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 28. The women's 5k will take off at 11:50 a.m.
The ladies are coming off of a third place finish at the GRCC Knight-Raider Invitational where freshman
Courtney Jarema was the top Oakland finisher, placing 11th with a time of 19:47.9.
Kyle Schwieman ran his 8k in a time of 27:14.2, placing 14th.
At the Loyola Lakefront Invite last year the women's team placed 13th and the men's team placed 20th.
Heather Czarnecki headed the women coming in 45th place while
Connor Goetz placed 65th, leading the men.
