PITTSBURGH - Charlie Braithwaite and
Noah Jensen each recorded five shots while accounting for five of Oakland's eight shots on goal as the Golden Grizzlies came up short with a 1-0 setback at Duquesne on Sunday at the Arthur J. Rooney Athletic Field.
Dylan Borczak also recorded four shots with
Corentin Diverres,
Cameron Wilde and
Luke Morrell each recording two.
Sullivan Lauderdale made three saves while facing 12 shots.
Despite dictating play racking up 24 total shots with eight on goal, Oakland could not capitalize on 12 corner kick opportunities which proved to be the difference.
Both teams played to a scoreless first half while most of the second half was a stalemate until Duquesne got the game-winning goal at the 69:54 mark.
Oakland travels to Western Illinois on Friday, Sept. 6 at 5 p.m. ET
