INDIANAPOLIS -- The Oakland volleyball team was picked fourth in the 2019 Horizon League Volleyball Preseason Poll announced by the league office on Wednesday and voted on by the league's nine head coaches. The Golden Grizzles earned one first-place vote and 49 points overall.

Mackenzie Schneider returns for her senior campaign after playing in 84 sets a season ago and recording 1.70 kills and 0.63 blocks per set. The Golden Grizzlies also return key contributors

Kenzie Dunn. Oakland has finished fourth or higher in its league standings in eight of the last nine seasons.
Green Bay captured their first-ever Horizon League regular season championship last season and went on to defeat Northern Kentucky 3-0 to claim the postseason tournament title.
The regular season begins for Oakland with a pair of matches on Aug. 30 against No. 15 Michigan at 11 a.m. and Tennessee Tech at 5 p.m. as part of the Michigan Invitational in Ann Arbor. The Golden Grizzlies' home opener is Aug. 31 at 4 p.m. against reigning Big Sky Conference Champion Northern Arizona.
