GREENWOOD, Ind. – Maggie Schneider has been named to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team announced by the CoSIDA national office for her combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
During the 2018 cross country season, Schneider was crowned the individual first place champion for the second consecutive year after running the 6k in a time of 21:22.0. Schneider received First Team All-League as well as Female Athlete of the Year for her performance.
 
Heading into the track season, Schneider went on to earn the 2019 Female Alfreeda Goff Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year honors as she broke the women's 10k school record by an impressive 36 seconds at the Virginia Challenge, hosted by the University of Virginia. In that race, Schneider finished as the top collegiate runner while her time of 34:20.08 was good enough to qualify her for the NCAA East Preliminary Round. Her time is also slated as the fourth fastest time in Oakland history. 
 
Competing at the East Prelims in Jacksonville, Fla., Schneider broke her own school record in the 10k with a time of 34:07.44, placing 16^th in the event. Schneider was only four spots from the last qualifying time for the NCAA Finals in only her second time ever running the event.
 
Schneider was also named to the Horizon League's Women's Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-League team after maintaining a 3.99 GPA in philosophy.
