LEVY AND WILLIAMS SWEEP NIKE HORIZON LEAGUE RUNNER OF THE WEEK HONORS

Levy and Williams broke school own 3000m and 400m school records respectively at Notre Dame Meyo Invite

INDIANAPOLIS - Oakland's Rachel Levy and Jimmie Williams have been named Nike® Horizon League Runners of the Week announced by the league office on Tuesday for their record-breaking performances at the Notre Dame Meyo Invite. This marks the second time this season Levy has garnered leagues honors and the first for Williams.

Levy, a senior from Midland, Mich., broke her own 3000m school record for the second time this season posting a time of 9:34.45 at the Notre Dame Meyo Invite which ranks first in the conference by 15 seconds. The time bests her previous school mark of 9:37.77 set at the Gladstein Invitation two weeks ago.

Williams, a sophomore from Southfield, Mich. broke his own 400m school record with a time of 47.41 which ranks first in the conference.

Oakland travels to the GVSU Big Meet on Sat., Feb. 9.
