SOFTBALL HELD SCORELESS AT UNCG

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Oakland dropped to the UNCG Spartans 5-0 as the Golden Grizzlies were held to just four hits, opposed to the home team's 12.
 
Jessie Munson, Brittney Miller, Jamie Squires and Lauren Griffith accounted for one hit each. Griffith's hit is her first career hit in the black and gold uniform.
 
The Spartans scored first in the second inning with a sacrifice fly followed by three more runs scored in the third inning and capped off with one run in the fifth to defeat Oakland.
 
Oakland will stay in North Carolina as they are set to compete in the Campbell Invitational held at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium Feb. 22-24.
