Day 1 Results
NOTRE DAME, Ind. –
Zach Stadnika has broken an Oakland Track and Field school record for the second consecutive week. Stadnika ran the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.17, placing sixth and taking over the event in the record book. His time will advance him to the semi-finals which will be held tomorrow.
Jimmie Williams had a great day on the track as he placed third in the 200m dash with a time of 21.72.
Malcolm McIntyre came in at 11
th with a time of 22.010. In the 60m heat, Napoleon Outlaw placed 15
th (7.027) while
Sheldon Drake placed 18
th (7.048). Both sprinters will advance to the 60m semi-finals tomorrow.
On the women's side,
Gabby Cyriax placed 18
th in the women's weight throw and
Mary Moore came in right after at 24
th.
Tyler Sirut and Kenton Rivard placed 15
th and 16
th consecutively in the men's weight throw.
Oakland will continue competition tomorrow, Feb. 2 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
