Sullivan Lauderdale, Noah Jensen and Elliott Bentley named to United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men’s Scholar All-North/Central Region First Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
Sullivan Lauderdale, Noah Jensen and Elliott Bentley have been named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's Scholar All-North/Central Region First Team announced by the national office.
 
Lauderdale, a 3.62 redshirt junior majoring in Pre-Integrative Studies, earned United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-North Region Third Team honors last week, was named Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year and was an All-Horizon League First Team selection. He started in 17 games with a 6-8-3 record, tied for third in the Horizon League in shutouts (4) while ranking eighth with a 1.59 goals-against-average. His four shutouts this season all came in league play leading to wins against Cleveland State (1-0), Green Bay (3-0) and IUPUI (4-0) along with a scoreless draw against Milwaukee. Lauderdale was also named Nike Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week (9/23).

Jensen, a 3.60 junior majoring in Actuarial Science, also earned United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-North Region Third Team honors and was an All-Horizon League Second Team selection. He started in 18 games ranking second on the team in points (13) and tied for second in goals (4) scoring against Western Illinois, IUPUI, UIC and Northern Kentucky. Jensen was also second on the team in assists (5) against Robert Morris, Green Bay, UIC, Marshall and Wright State.

12-16-19 Bentley United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Award
 
Bentley, a 3.32 senior majoring in Pre-Integrative Studies, was an All-Horizon League First Team selection after starting in 17 games anchoring the back line to four shutouts while ranking third on the team in assists (4) from his defensive backline position. He recorded an assist against Western Illinois, added two at Green Bay and assisted on the game-winning goal giving Oakland a 1-0 win over Michigan State for the first time since 2014.
 
To be eligible for Scholar All-Region recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
-3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career
-Started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team
-Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution
-Junior or above in academic standing; and, if a transfer student, in second year at school
