
MILWUKEE, Wisc. –
Lindsay Wightman recorded 22 digs and tallied four service aces as the Oakland volleyball team took down first place Milwaukee, 3-1 on the road Friday night from the Klotsche Center.
Wightman's 22 digs was a match high, and marks the 11th time this season the junior has registered a 20-plus dig performance.
Taylor Dellinger led the Golden Grizzlies (14-11, 7-6 HL) with 16 kills, while
Brittany Welch added 12 of her own.
AnnaBelle Tomei registered 24 assists and added eight digs on the night.
Kenzie Dunn also had a solid performance for the Golden Grizzlies recording 19 assists and 16 digs.
Friday's win marks just the fourth loss of the season for the Panthers (23-4, 10-3 HL), the second coming from the Golden Grizzlies.
Oakland will conclude the regular season at home Nov. 15-16, welcoming IUPUI and Wright State. Friday's match begins at 6 p.m. and will serve as a collection point for fans to bring nonperishable food items for the OU Food Pantry. On Saturday the Golden Grizzlies will honor their three seniors
