ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland men's basketball team will tip off Friday against Delaware in the inaugural Sunshine Slam at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee Fla. at 5 p.m.
The tournament runs Nov. 8-10 and will be streamed on FloSports. Fans can also listen to the Oakland games on WDFN-AM (1130) or with the iHeart Radio app.
Last time out, the Golden Grizzlies earned their first win of the season over Goshen College 94-66 as Brad Brechting shot 8-for-8 from the floor, recording 21 points. Daniel Oladapo recorded a double-double also adding 21 for Oakland, and pulling down 12 boards.

- Five Golden Grizzlies recorded double digits in their opening game against Goshen. Brechting (21), Oladapo (21), Xavier Hill-Mais (15), Kevin Kangu (13) and Blake Lampman (10)
- Lampman made his collegiate debut going a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc and 1-1 from the free throw line
- The Golden Grizzlies return redshirt-senior and First Team All-Horizon League selection Hill-Mais who averaged 18.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in 2018-19
- Brechting also returns for his redshirt-senior campaign. The 6-11 center appeared in all 33 games, making 27 starts last season, and averaged 13.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in league play
- Head coach Greg Kampe enters his 36th season at the helm of the Gold- en Grizzlies and is the third-most tenured active coach at one school behind Duke's Mike Krzyzewksi (40 seasons) and Syracuse's Jim Boeheim (44 seasons)
- Oakland added 10 newcomers to the 2019-20 squad, including three transfers in Kevin Kangu (Vincennes University), Daniel Oladapo (Chipola College) and Rashad Williams (Cleveland State)
