OAKLAND HOSTS WESTERN MICHIGAN FOR LGBTQIA+ PRIDE NIGHT

Golden Grizzlies and Broncos kick off on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland men's soccer team hosts Western Michigan on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. on LGBTQIA+ Pride Night presented by United Shore. The game be broadcast live from the Oakland Soccer Field on ESPN+ with the voice of the Golden Grizzlies Neal Ruhl on the call along with Gary Parsons.

Notes:
-Oakland (5-3-1, 3-0-1 HL) is 11-3 over the last 14 matches against Western Michigan (6-4) with the Broncos winning the last two games.
 
-The last time out in league play, Dylan Borczak connected on a diving header off a failed clear attempt in the 98th minute of overtime for the game-winning golden goal giving Oakland a thrilling 3-2 win at Wright State (10/5) to keep the Golden Grizzlies unbeaten in Horizon League play.
 
-Borczak leads the team and league in assists (7) and leads the team in points (13) which also is tied for third in the league.
 
-Borczak scored a goal with a season-high in assists (2) and points (4) in Oakland's 5-1 win at Robert Morris (8/30) and has recorded three points in a game with a goal and assist on two other occasions at Green Bay (9/17) and at Wright State (10/5). He also recoded the equalizer to rally the Golden Grizzlies from a two-goal deficit to a 2-2 draw at Bradley (9/8).
 
-Evan Sawula leads the team in goals (4) which is tied for fourth in the league and ranks second on the team in points (8).
 
-Cameron Wilde also ranks second on the team in points (8) and goals (3) along with Borczak and Charlie Braithwaite.
 
-Braithwaite also leads the team in game-winning goals (2) which is tied for third in the league. His game winners came against Green Bay and Robert Morris.
 
-Elliott Bentley is second on the team in assists (3) with Carson Debison-Larabie, Frank Jones, Noah Jensen and Wilde ranking third (2).
 
-As a team, Oakland ranks second in conference in points (58) and assists (22) while ranking third in goals (18)
 
-Nine different players have accounted for 18 total goals and 10 different players have recorded 22 assists through nine games this season.
