INDIANAPOLIS – Cross Country's Connor Goetz has been announced as the Horizon League's Runner of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday following his performance at the 2019 Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational.
 
Goetz, a sophomore from Fort Wayne, Ind. was the top finisher for the Oakland men at the Notre Dame meet, placing 16^th in the 8k with a time of 24:49.19. His finishing spot helped lead the men to a seventh place finish overall with 230 points.
 
The Oakland cross country teams will return to action this Saturday, Oct. 12 where they will compete in the 2019 Oakland Community College Invitational.
