ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland Cross Country team will split the squad this Friday, Oct. 4 as half will travel to the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational while the other half will travel northwest to Lansing to compete in the Lansing Community College Invitational. Competition at Notre Dame begins at 1 p.m. while action in Lansing begins with the ladies 5k at 12:30 p.m. followed by the men's 8k at 1:15 p.m.
 
Last weekend the ladies took the course at Loyola-Chicago, running to a fourth place finish at the Loyola Lakefront Invite. Rachel Levy placed runner-up in the event with a time of 17:33.20 which she went on to earn Horizon League Runner of the Week honors for. Levy is the first Oakland recipient of the honor this season.
