OAKLAND HOSTS NO. 15 MARSHALL FOR ALS AWARENESS NIGHT

ROCHESTER, Mich. -
The Oakland men's soccer team hosts No. 15 Marshall for ALS Awareness Night on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. Free ALS Awareness wristbands and ribbons will be available to fans.
 
Notes:
-Oakland (7-6-2, 4-1-1HL) is 2-2 over the last four matches against Marshall (10-2-3, 3-1-1 C-USA). The Golden Grizzlies have won the previous two matches against the Herd including a 3-2 road win last season and 2-1 decision in 2013.
 
-The last time out, Luke Morrell scored the game-winning goal just 44 seconds into the second half off an assist from seniors Evan Sawula and Elliott Bentley giving Oakland a 1-0 win over Michigan State for the first time since 2014 in front of the fifth largest crowd of 1,672 on Senior Night last Tuesday.
 
-For his shutout effort against MSU, Liam McQueenie was named Nike® Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week.
 
-Dylan Borczak leads the team in assists (8) which is tied for the league lead and also ranks 21st nationally. He also leads the team in points (16) which also is tied for fifth in the league.
 
-Borczak scored a goal with a season-high in assists (2) and points (4) in Oakland's 5-1 win at Robert Morris (8/30) and has recorded three points in a game with a goal and assist on three other occasions: vs IUPUI (10/12) at Green Bay (9/17) and at Wright State (10/5). He also recoded the equalizer to rally the Golden Grizzlies from a two-goal deficit to a 2-2 draw at Bradley (9/8).
 
-Charlie Braithwaite leads the team in goals (5) which is tied for sixth in the league and ranks second in points (11) followed by Jensen and Wilde in third (9) and Sawula (8) in fourth.
 
-Bentley ranks second on the team in assists (4) followed by Wilde and Jensen in third (3) with Debison-Larabie, Frank Jones, Noah Jensen and Dawsun Schrum ranking fourth (2).
 
-Braithwaite and Borczak also lead the team in game-winning goals (2) which is tied for third in the league. Braithwaite's game winners came against Green Bay and Robert Morris while Borczak's came against Wright State and IUPUI.
 
-Sullivan Lauderdale has recorded three shutouts this season all in league play vs Cleveland State, Green Bay and IUPUI.
 
-As a team, Oakland leads the conference in points (83), ranks second in assists (29) and third in goals (27).
 
-The Golden Grizzlies are 1-1-2 in overtime games.
 
-11 different players have accounted for 27 total goals while 12 different players have recorded 29 assists through so far this season.
