
DAYTON, Ohio - Napoleon Outlaw III,
Corentin Diverres and
Dawsun Schrum each recorded a shot on goal while
Liam McQueenie made seven saves in his first start of the season as Oakland dropped a 3-0 non-conference decision at Dayton on Tuesday night at Baujan Field.
Dayton jumped on the board just five minutes into the game and added a second goal just before the half to take a 2-0 lead.
Outlaw III had Oakland's best chance in the 68th minute as he struck a hard left-footed shot on frame but Dayton keeper Federico Barrios was able to make a diving save punching the ball away.
Moments later, Oakland received a red card which forced the Golden Grizzlies to play a man down the rest of the game. Dayton was able to capitalize adding a third goal in the 79th minute.
Oakland travels to UIC for a Horizon League match on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. ET.
