
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Kahlaijah Dean poured in a career-high 29 points shooting a blistering 12-for-18 from the field including 5-for-9 from 3-point range with six rebounds as Oakland batted through three quarters before falling 76-61 at Youngstown State on Thursday night.

Autumn Kissman each chipped in with nine points as the Golden Grizzlies shot a season-best 24-for-51 (47.1%) from the field.
After trailing by only four at halftime, 32-28, Oakland (4-17, 1-9 HL) opened the third quarter on a 13-1 run to take a 41-33 lead with 4:40 left. However, Youngstown State (16-5, 8-2 HL) responded with a 14-1 run of their own to close out the frame with a 47-42 lead.
The fourth quarter then proved to be the difference as YSU's offense caught fire with the Penguins shooting 7-for-10 from the field while going a perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line to close out the game.
Oakland heads to Cleveland State on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.
