ROCHESTER, Mich. - A select number of Oakland's men and women's track and field student athletes will head to South Bend, Ind. on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb.3 to compete in the Notre Dame Meyo Invite. Competition begins on Friday at 5:05 p.m. and Saturday at 10:05 p.m. Athletes include: Andrew Bowman, Chanel Gardner, Corey Goodloe, Madison Leigh, Kendell Jefferson, Maggie Schneider, Zach Stadnika and Jimmie Williams.

â-ª At the Notre Dame Invite in 2011, Autumn Cleverley broke a then school record in the 800m with a time of 2:16.88 while Zack Jones and Sara Lieblein both recorded the Summit League's then best times for the 5000m at 15:01.82 and 17:21.63 respectively.

â-ª Last week the team competed at the SVSU Jet's Pizza Invite in Saginaw, Mich. Mary Moore broke her own school in the weight throw with a toss of 51 ft., 9 in. while Kendell Jefferson broke school records in both the 60m (7.58) and the 200m (24.94) earning Horizon League Runner of the Week honors. Chanel Gardner recorded a third place finish breaking another school record in the 400m (56.63)

â-ª The men broke records as well as Zach Stadnika broke his own heptathlon school record recording 5182 points also earning Horizon League Athlete of the Week honors while Jimmie Williams broke the 400m school mark with a time of 48:31.
