ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland men's basketball team continues its road trip by traveling to Northeastern Saturday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. inside Matthews Arena. The game will be streamed live on New England Sports Network and fans can also listen on WDFN-AM (1130) or with the iHeart Radio app.

Last time out, Oakland came away with a close 87-86 victory at Fairfield as Karmari Newman scored a career high 19 points.

  • Xavier Hill-Mais ranks third in the NCAA in field goals made (89) while ranking seventh in total points (223) and eighth in points per game (24.8).
  • Braden Norris was named Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Dec. 3 as he continued his hot shooting from three-point range, going 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and finishing with 14 points and eight assists on Dec. 1 at Xavier. 
  • Norris is shooting 77 percent (20 of 26) from three-point range on the season.
  • Jordan Nobles leads the Horizon League and ranks second in the NCAA in assist-to-turnover ratio at 5.8.
  • The Golden Grizzlies lead the Horizon League and rank inside the NCAA's top-10 in assist-to-turnover ratio (fourth; 1.84), assists per game (seventh; 20.0) and total assists (fifth; 180).
  • The Golden Grizzlies also lead the league in three-point field goal percentage (41 percent) and free throw percentage (75 percent). 
  • Oakland has three players rank inside the NCAA's top-60 in assist-to-turnover ratio (Nobles second, Norris 17th, and Jaevin Cumberland 55th). Those three also rank first, third and fourth respectively in the Horizon League.
  • Cumberland has made his last 26 consecutive free throws dating back to Nov. 23.
