ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland men's basketball team will open the 2018-19 regular season by taking on Toledo for its home opener Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. inside the O'rena. The game will be televised on TV20 Comcast 900, and will be streamed live on ESPN3. Fans can also listen on WDFN-AM (1130) or with the iHeart Radio app.
Last time out Oakland wrapped up exhibition play by defeating Kalamazoo 99-45 as three Golden Grizzlies scored in double figures.

- Oakland head coach Greg Kampe started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Toledo before accepting a full-time assistant coach position with the Rockets in 1979. He earned a Master of Arts degree in physical education while at Toledo and was with the school from 1978-84.
- Current Toledo radio analyst Jay Lehman was an assistant coach under Kampe from 1984-85.
