ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland men's basketball team begins its eight-game road swing by traveling to Xavier Saturday, Dec. 1 at 12 p.m. inside the Cintas Center. The game will be televised live on Fox Sports 1 and fans can also listen on WDFN-AM (1130) or with the iHeart Radio app.
Last time out, Oakland went 2-1 on Thanksgiving weekend hosting the Men Against Breast Cancer Oakland Hoops Challenge in Rochester. The Golden Grizzlies defeated James Madison and Oral Roberts but fell to Northern Illinois.
Jaevin Cumberland and
Xavier Hill-Mais were named to the all-tournament team, with Hill-Mais being named Most Valuable Player.

- The Golden Grizzlies also lead the league in fewest turnovers (67; 33rd in NCAA), fewest turnovers per game (9.6; 11th in NCAA) and free throw percentage (75 percent; 48th in NCAA).
- Oakland has three players rank inside the NCAA's top-40 in assist-to-turnover ratio (Jordan Nobles 10th, Braden Norris 14th and Cumberland 38th). Those three also rank first, second and third respectively in the Horizon League.
- Norris has recorded four-straight games with career highs in points and assists. The freshman point guard registered his first career double-double (18 points, 10 assists) on Nov. 25 against Northern Illinois and is 14 of 16 (88 percent) from three-point range in his last four games.
