ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland men's basketball team will host the 2018 Men Against Breast Cancer Oakland Hoops Challenge beginning Friday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 25 inside the O'rena. The Golden Grizzlies will welcome James Madison, Oral Roberts and Northern Illinois for the three-day tournament, as each day will feature two games at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Oakland will play each day at 2:30 p.m. as Friday and Saturday's games will be streamed on ESPN3, while Sunday's game will be streamed on ESPN+. Saturday and Sunday's contests for the Golden Grizzlies will also be aired live on TV20 Comcast 900. Fans can also listen to the Oakland games on WDFN-AM (1130) or with the iHeart Radio app.

Oakland's game on Friday against James Madison is Breast Cancer Awareness Day as fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of the cause. Head coach Greg Kampe will also be supporting breast cancer awareness by dying his hair pink after successfully raising over $6,000 in donations to the American Cancer Society. 

Last time out, the Golden Grizzlies earned their first win of the season over Defiance 91-47 as Xavier Hill-Mais shot 12-for-12 from the floor, setting a program record for most field goals made with a 1.000 shooting percentage, topping the previous record from 1994 held by Jason Burkholder who went 11-for-11.

  • Oakland has three players rank inside the NCAA top-100 in assist-to-turnover ratio (Jaevin Cumberland, 14th; Brailen Neely, 21st; Jordan Nobles, 85th). Those three also rank first, second and fourth respectively in the Horizon League.
  • Xavier Hill-Mais ranks fifth in the NCAA in points per game which is also second in the Horizon League.
