ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland men's basketball team will take on UNLV for its first road contest of the 2018-19 season Friday, Nov. 16 at 10 p.m. ET inside the Thomas & Mack Center. The game will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network and fans can also listen on WDFN-AM (1130) or with the iHeart Radio app.
Last time out, Oakland dropped an overtime thriller to Western Michigan 85-77 as
Karmari Newman scored a career high 18 points.

- Oakland will face UNLV for the first time in program history.
NOTES
- The Golden Grizzlies have played in Las Vegas before in 2016 at the Vegas 16 postseason tournament held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Oakland went 2-1 in the tournament and reached the title game.
- Karmari Newman is coming off a career night against Western Michigan scoring 18 points and draining five three-pointers.
- Xavier Hill-Mais was named Horizon League Player of the Week after a stellar night against Toledo on Nov. 9, recording a career high 30 points and nine rebounds in Oakland's home opener. He also went a career best 14 of 21 from the floor.
