
INDIANAPOLIS – Cross Country's
Heather Czarnecki was named to the 2018 Horizon League All-Academic Team announced by the league office.
Czarnecki, a sophomore from Deerfield, Mich. holds a 4.0 GPA in psychology. She also was also named Second Team All-League after placing ninth at the 2018 Horizon League Championships with a time of 22:04.2. In addition, she also placed second at the 32
nd Running Fit Detroit Mercy Invitational (18:07.8) and fifth at the Golden Grizzlies Open (15:07.8).
To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests.
