ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland women's soccer team will take on host and No. 1 seed Milwaukee in the Horizon League Championship semifinals Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. ET from Engelmann Stadium. Thursday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
 
The Golden Grizzlies (4-11-3) enter Thursday's game on a three game win streak including a 2-1 quarterfinals win over No. 3 seed Northern Kentucky.
 
The winner of Thursday's match will play in the championship game Saturday, November 3 at 5 p.m. (ET).
 
THE MATCH-UP

• Oakland will face off against Milwaukee for the second time this season.
• In the first meeting, Oakland fell to the Panthers, 3-1 on the road. Ashley Postma recorded her first goal of the season against Milwaukee.
• Milwaukee enters Thursday's match with an impressive 15-1 record on the year, going 9-0 at home.
• The Golden Grizzlies are coming off their first multi-goal game of the season in a 2-1 win in the quarterfinals over No. 3 Northern Kentucky.
• Oakland and Milwaukee met in the seminfinals in 2016, the Panthers won 1-0 after being held scoreless for 84 minutes.

• Monday's match against Northern Kentucky marked the first appearance in the Horizon League Championship under the guidance of Head Coach Juan Pablo Favero, who is in his second year at the helm of the Oakland women's soccer program.
• The Golden Grizzlies quarterfinals win on Monday is the first post season victory for Favero since arriving at Oakland.
• Lauren Bos, Maya Pascal and Nikki May earned Horizon League Women's Soccer All-Conference honors the league announced Monday. Bos and Pascal were named to the All-Horizon League Second Team, while May earned Horizon League All-Freshman Team Honors.
• Pascal was named to the Horizon League Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the first to receive this honor since the 2013 season.
• The Golden Grizzlies have scored nine goals on the year, with goals coming from eight different players.
• Oakland enters the semifinals on a three-game win streak, shutting out its opponent in two of the last three meetings.
• Goalkeeper Jaimie Leas registered five shutouts in Horizon League play.
• In Horizon League play, Oakland ranked second in goals against average (0.72/G), with the Golden Grizzlies tied for the most minutes played (870.00).
